Recruiting

RSS operates a grassroots approach to recruiting that connects us to the community through relationships with local centers of influence. We send recruiting teams into the community to seek out qualified team members. We bring the screening and selection process to them and spend time hiring on-site. The bulk of our team comes from recruiting network referrals. We also use a multimedia approach to market our positions.

Training

We use the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AH&LEI) training program to assess each of our housekeeping team members in terms of skills mastered and customized training on as-needed basis. The assessment consists of both written and practical evaluations. A full training program for eager, yet less-experienced team members consists of a five-day session involving presentation and practice.

We understand that each hotel property has its own service requirements that make it unique. We want to ensure that our team members understand those unique requirements. We send one of our corporate trainers on-site to sit in on our client's in-house training, as well as to develop a property-specific employee handbook for our team members, which include dress requirements, cleaning standards, hotel emergency procedures, etc.

Cost Savings

Clients who outsource through RSS, typically save 5 to 12 percent on direct departmental labor costs. Through outsourcing, our clients are able to reduce employee turnover, recruiting, benefits and payroll processing costs by 100 percent for housekeeping staff.
